Job summary

Westmont Living - The Oaks at Nipomo is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with medication administration and MAR documentation in a licensed senior living community. The role works under RN and RSD supervision to ensure timely medication setup and record-keeping in accordance with policy and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Medication setup and administration per physician orders and RN guidance.
• Accurate MAR documentation and PRN notes.
• Criminal record clearance prior to employment.
• Pass health screens including TB and drug test.
• First aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
