Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a Med Tech for Westmont of Escondido, a senior living community. The role covers medication setup and assisting residents with medications under RN direction, with a Fri-Sun 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule.

You will document medication assistance per policy, complete MAR entries without blanks, and meet state requirements. Health screens, background checks, and first aid training are required.

Qualifications

• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screens such as TB and drug testing.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians/RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance and ensure MARs have no blanks.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
