Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Public Relations, Communications or a related discipline.
• 7-9 years of experience in Public Relations in the consumer practice of an agency, experience in consumer media relations required.
• Creative thinker with a pulse on what’s happening in culture; shares a passion for bringing forward-looking ideas to the team and client.
• Flexibility/versatility to tackle different tasks throughout the day and pivot with little or no warning based on client/team needs.
• Excellent writing skills are essential to this position, as well as great attention to detail, organization, time management, multi-tasking and proactivity.
• Strong verbal communication skills, poise and professionalism.
• Knowledge of media tools such as Cision, Muck Rack, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support all Consumer Brands accounts by leading media strategy development, pitching media and securing coverage for our clients
• Lead development of media analysis documents, as well as competitive snapshots
• Help guide junior team members in the development of written materials that will make media and consumers take notice, including persuasive pitch letters, press releases, interview briefing books, etc.
• Oversee the development of targeted media lists; help junior team members build relationships with editors and producers across multiple consumer verticals
