Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities while administering medications within scope of practice.

You will support residents, maintain policies, and participate in activity planning. The role requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days, and a willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Must maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (ex: HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as making resident beds, cleaning resident apartments, common areas, dining room, etc.
