Job summary

Waltonwood is seeking a Med Tech to join our Resident Care team. The role blends caregiving, medical aide duties, and leadership to help residents maintain independence and safety while assisting with daily living activities.

Med Techs report to the Wellness Coordinator and collaborate with Caregivers, physicians, pharmacies, and leadership. A compassionate, detail-oriented approach is essential to provide high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Caregiving or Med Tech experience is required.
• Experience working with the elderly and memory impairment.
• Ability to follow medication administration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents per medical charts and protocols.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for residents.
• Participate in shift change meetings and communicate resident status.
• Assist with janitorial tasks as needed and act as shift supervisor.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacies for proper medication orders.
• Report changes in resident health to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Provide emotional support and uphold dignity and safety.
