Job summary

Waltonwood in Cary, NC seeks a Med Tech to join the Resident Care team. You’ll administer medications, assist with ADLs, and provide compassionate support to residents while coordinating with caregivers, physicians, and the pharmacy.

In this full-time role, you’ll supervise shifts, report changes to the Wellness Coordinator, and help maintain safety and dignity for residents living in our Waltonwood communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNA required in North Carolina.
• Caregiving or Med Tech experience preferred.
• Experience with elderly residents and memory impairment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to residents per medical charts and document/restock med carts.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility, and meals.
• Participate in shift change meetings and communicate resident status to team.
• Assist with janitorial tasks and support shift supervision to meet resident care needs.
• Coordinate with physicians and pharmacies to ensure proper medication orders.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to physicians, families, and leadership.
• Maintain safety and wellbeing through proper procedures and equipment.
