Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our Santa Cruz community. The role focuses on medication setup, resident assistance with medication self-administration, and strict documentation in accordance with state requirements.

The position supports a full team approach to care, with rotating AM/PM/NOC shifts and a commitment to high-quality resident-centered service in independent, assisted, and memory care settings.

Qualifications

• Performs medication setup and assists residents on the Medication Program with self-administration as directed by licensed staff.
• Records and documents medication administration per policy and state requirements.
• Maintains MARs and documents PRN medication reasons and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of LVN and RSD.
• Assist with medication program and ensure accurate documentation.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the LVN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

oDocument medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance, leaving no blanks

oDocument reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs, noting effectiveness ofmedication
