Job summary

Westmont of Morgan Hill, part of Westmont Living, is seeking a compassionate Med Tech to support the Medication Program and assist residents with medications under RN supervision. The role emphasizes accurate MAR documentation, safety, and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents with self-administration
• Must pass health screens (Physical, TB, Drug test)
• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in community
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or willing to get vaccinated

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians/RN/RSD
• Document medication assistance on MARs per policy
• Leave no blank fields on MARs and document PRN medication reasons
• Assist with documentation and adherence to state requirements

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 or must willing to get fully vaccinated.

o Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance

o Leaves no blanks on MARs

o Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
