Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. seeks a compassionate MED TECH to support residents in independent and assisted living, plus memory care.

You will assist with medication setup and documentation, following physician orders and RN direction, while maintaining MAR accuracy and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Medication administration experience or training preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate MARs and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and compassion when assisting seniors.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration as directed.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and the RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance and note PRN reasons and effectiveness.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
