Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care community in La Mesa, CA. We prioritize residents’ comfort, safety and well-being in a homelike setting.

You will perform medication setup and assist with self-administration, document MARs, and follow physician orders under RN guidance. A post-offer physical, TB test, drug screening, and background check are required. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Perform medication setup and assist residents with the self-administration of their medications.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance; leaves no blanks on MARs.
• Document reasons for PRN medication on MARs and effectiveness of medication.
• Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community.
• Must pass health screens such as Physical, TB, Drug test.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-

  administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at

  the direction of the RN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication

• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community

• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test

• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
