Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. in Santa Cruz is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our senior living community offering Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care.

You will assist residents with medication administration and document per policy, collaborating with LVN/RN staff to support safe self-administration where applicable. Qualifications

• Medication setup and assist with self-administration as ordered by physicians or LVN/RSD.
• Accurate documentation of medication assistance on MARs immediately after administration.
• Record reasons for PRN medications and note their effectiveness.

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration when appropriate.
• Set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered and ensure policy compliance.
• Document medication assistance per policy and state requirements.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications

• Must be able to set up, record, and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the LVN and RSD.

• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:

• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance, leaving no blanks
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs, noting effectiveness ofmedication
