Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Charleston, SC seeks a Medical Technician (Med Tech) to provide quality resident care and assist with daily living activities, including administering medications within scope. The role requires completing the Medication Aide course, holding CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing, and adhering to policies.

You will document care in EMAR/MAR and support residents and families with compassion.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
• Communicate status and updates to HCD, RN/LPN, or ED.
• Document medication administration on EMAR/MAR and in Daily Log.
• Re-order medications and communicate with pharmacy as needed.
• Assist in move-in transitions and provide emotional support to new residents.
