Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Huntington Park, CA seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide 12-hour patient care on Med/Surg/Telemetry, applying the Watson Model of Care and a patient/family centered approach.

Reporting to the Manager of Medical-Surgical Telemetry, you will coordinate care, document in the IPOC, communicate changes to the team, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical nursing experience minimum.
• 12 months Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care preferred.
• California RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide 12-hour patient care planning and coordination.
• Utilize Watson Model of Care for patient/family centered care.
• Document in IPOC and communicate changes with physicians.
• Participate in unit QA and performance improvement activities.
