Qualifications

• Bachelor in Nursing degree required; associate degree acceptable as noted.
• California RN license required; Basic EKG competence is preferred.
• Internal MLKCH nurse residency program candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to plan, organize, and provide patient care.
• Perform focused assessments and adapt plans for changes in condition.
• Maintain SBAR hand-offs and accurate documentation (IPOC, Watson model).
• Coordinate inter-disciplinary discharge planning for assigned patients.
• Contribute to unit quality/performance improvement activities.
