Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse for a 12-hour shift on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit.

The role emphasizes high-quality, patient- and family-centered care based on the Watson Model of Care and requires active participation in the hospital’s mission and quality initiatives. The successful candidate will hold a BSN with California RN licensure, plus a year of clinical experience and BLS/ACLS readiness.

Formación

• Bachelor in Nursing degree required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
• California Nursing license required; Basic EKG competence.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates nursing process as a problem-solving model and plans care.
• Nursing assessments focus on productive areas; prioritizes and coordinates care.
• Provides age-appropriate care; applies current literature and critical thinking to clinical decisions.
• Supports patient satisfaction efforts through interactions with patients and families.
• Maintains therapeutic nurse-patient relationships, conducts hourly rounding, and uses SBAR for handoffs.
• Documents care per IPOC and Watson Model of Care; follows unit/hospital policies.
• Anticipates variables affecting patient comfort and adjusts interventions accordingly.
• Assists with unit orientation and setup of equipment and supplies.
• Participates in Care Collaborative System training and integrated testing.

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

ADN or Nursing Diploma (preferred)

MLKCH Versant Nurse Residency Program candidate

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
