Job summary

STHS Edinburg is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead patient care for individuals admitted for medical or surgical needs. You will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care while supporting the clinical team and ensuring adherence to policy and standards.

The role requires collaboration with hospital staff, ongoing patient-centered care, and flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed. Texas RN licensure, BLS, and unit-specific ACLS compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license at time of hire or compact state license.
• BSN preferred; associate diploma or ADN acceptable with permit.
• BLS certification current and maintained.
• ACLS certification required per unit policy when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgeries.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Ensure patient care follows facility policies and standards.
• Oversee nursing staff under supervision and coordinate with other departments.
• Participate in weekend/holiday/evening/night or on-call coverage as needed.
