Job summary

South Texas Health System Edinburg is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead and deliver high-quality patient care across medical and surgical units. The RN will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care while ensuring compliance with facility standards and policies.

Leadership responsibilities include overseeing nursing staff and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates must be a Texas-licensed RN with BLS and unit-specific certifications; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Texas or compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• Must maintain BLS and required unit certifications per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care and professional leadership.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate care for patients under supervision.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and departments to resolve care-related issues.
• May require weekends, holidays, and on-call status.
