Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health in Connecticut seeks an Assistant Patient Services Manager (APSM) to lead nursing units, oversee patient flow, staffing, and service excellence across care settings. This role requires a BSN, CT RN license, 2+ years clinical nursing and 1+ year leadership experience; strong financial acumen and commitment to PFCC.

The APSM collaborates with the PSM to improve quality, safety and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master's preferred.
• Two years of clinical nurse experience and a minimum of 1 year leadership/supervisory experience.
• Current CT state RN licensure or eligibility; specialty certification preferred or willing to obtain within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe patient flow across all care settings and oversee clinical leadership with nursing and support staff.
• Maintain safe staffing levels and clinical competence to provide high quality care.
• Contribute to financial performance and understand how unit operations impact the organization’s financial state.
• Model PFCC and drive service excellence through patient and family-centered care.
• Conduct regular rounding to assess patient, staff, and leader effectiveness and drive improvements.
