The ideal candidate holds an MSN, at least 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience, and an active FL RN license (or compact state). Teaching at the collegiate level is preferred, with a commitment to accreditation standards and student

Qualifications

• MSN required for the faculty role.
• Active RN license in FL or compact state.
• Prior collegiate teaching experience preferred.
• Evidence of involvement in professional organizations, presentations, or publications.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab contexts for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborates with faculty to document student progress toward objectives.
• Participates in grading written work and clinical/lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and attends select meetings.
• Stays current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Upholds the university’s mission and Doctrinal/Ethical statements.
• Requires travel to student clinical sites to observe performance.
