Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty member for the MedSurg II Lab/Clinical in Miramar, FL. You will reinforce didactic content and oversee clinical and lab applications, collaborating with faculty to document student progress and evaluating performance.

The role requires an MSN, FL RN license (or Compact), and at least 2 years of ICU/Acute Care experience, with teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Active RN license in FL or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years’ ICU/Acute Care nursing experience within the last two years.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to evaluate student progress.
• Participation in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains lines of communication with program faculty and director.
• Keeps current with trends and developments in nursing practice.
• Maintains compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Upholds university mission and Doctrinal Statements.
• Travels to student clinical sites to observe performance.
