Grand Canyon University invites applications for a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty position in OB/Women's Health/Labor and Delivery, based in Miramar, FL. The role includes didactic and clinical instruction, with emphasis on innovative teaching methods and student assessment.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN and has at least 2 years of OB/L&D nursing experience, plus current FL RN licensure or a compact state license. Prior teaching is preferred and travel to clinical sites is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ OB/Women's Health/Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last two years.
• Active and unrestricted RN license in FL or a compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Evidence of involvement in the professional area (organizations, presentations, research, publications).

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in the clinical and lab application of OB/Women's Health material.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress in clinicals and labs.
• Participates in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains open communication with program faculty and director, including attendance at select faculty meetings.
• Stays current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Upholds the university's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission.
• Requires travel to student clinical sites to observe student performance.
