Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Miramar, FL, seeks a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty member for Critical Care. You will support development and delivery of clinical instruction and student assessment using current teaching methods and technologies.

This is a full-time faculty role committed to serving pre-licensure nursing students. Requirements include an MSN, active FL or compact RN license, and at least 2 years of ICU/acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Active RN license in Florida or a compact state is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ ICU/Acute Care nursing experience within the last two years.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward objectives.
• Participates in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and director including attendance at select meetings.
• Keeps current with trends and accreditation requirements in nursing.
• Requires travel to student clinical sites to observe performance.
