Job summary

Grand Canyon University Inc. is seeking a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty to support clinical instruction and student evaluation in Med/Surg.

The role involves direct and indirect teaching, using current methodologies and technologies, and travel within the Phoenix metro area for direct observation of student performance. The position requires a Master’s in Nursing (MSN), active AZ RN license, and prior teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in medical/surgical nursing within the last 2 years.
• Active RN in AZ or compact state.
• Prior collegiate teaching preferred.
• Evidence of professional involvement (organizations, presentations, research).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Support of university Doctrinal Statement and Mission.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content with clinical and lab instruction for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with faculty to document student progress and performance.
• Participate in grading written and clinical/lab check-offs.
• Maintain communication with program faculty and attend select meetings.
• Stay updated on trends in nursing education and practice.
• Ensure program accreditation requirements are met.
