The ideal candidate holds an MSN, is a current FL RN (or compact state), and has teaching experience at the college level, plus a record of professional involvement in nursing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Active and unencumbered RN in FL or compact state.
• Minimum 2 years’ med/surg nursing experience within the last two years.
• Prior teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
• Evidence of professional involvement (organizations, presentations, publications).

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty for evaluation and documentation of student progress.
• Participates in grading written and clinical/lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and director; attends select faculty meetings.
• Keeps current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Upholds the university’s doctrinal statements and mission; travel to student clinical sites as needed.

In this role you will provide indirect and direct support in the development and provision of clinical instruction and student evaluation incorporating current teaching methodologies, technologies, and other trends that reflect advances in specific areas of the discipline associated with the individual’s teaching assignment.
