Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center, LLC in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Medical Surgical Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) to support patient care on Med-Surg units. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, and vital signs while helping nurses with wound care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Entry-level NAs are welcome to apply; current CNA certification and BLS within 30 days are required. This full-time position offers 12-hour day shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital
