Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (Certified or Non-Certified) for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. This role supports adults on heart monitors, performs ADLs, and helps monitor vitals in a busy Med-Surg/Tele/PCU setting.

Shifts are nights, 12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, full-time with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Current BLS, CNA certification, and six months acute care experience are required; behavioral violence prevention

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Current CNA certification.
• Minimum six months previous acute care hospital or physician's office experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown and assist feeding as needed.
• Take and record vital signs; observe and report changes to nurses and assist with wound care under RN direction.
• Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and keep environment clean and safe.
• Assist in transporting patients within the hospital.
