Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Assistant to join the Med Surg/Telemetry team. You will assist with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under RN supervision, supporting a safe hospital environment.

The ideal candidate holds a current CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days of hire, and demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology with six months of acute care or physician’s office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
