Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, document and maintain complex test environment systems for Raytheon effector products. This 100% onsite role requires building test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic and RF environments.

You will diagnose production issues, propose design improvements, and support production validation. A Bachelor's in a STEM field with two years of mechanical design experience and CAD skills with CREO/ProE and GD&T is required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and two years of relevant engineering experience.
• Two years of experience in mechanical design and/or production support.
• Two years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO / ProE preferred).
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical test systems used across advanced environments—vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, electro‑optical, etc.
• Build and validate test solutions that deliver high accuracy and reliability in demanding production settings.
• Diagnose production issues and recommend design improvements that elevate system performance.
