Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and document components for tactical missile systems. You will support production, troubleshooting, and obsolescence management across domestic and international suppliers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, performing design trade studies, and updating technical data packages. A Master’s in STEM and experience with CREO and Windchill are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM obtained by start date.
• Experience with design, development, and production of mechanical equipment and/or hardware, preferably for military environments.
• Experience in the development, creation, release, and updates of mechanical technical data packages.
• Experience with tolerance analysis.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components for tactical missile systems and equipment.
• Support the factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, troubleshooting, domestically and internationally.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines and suppliers to develop design solutions.
• Work with limited supervision and meet commitments for schedule, cost, and technical goals.
• Support design peer reviews and conduct trade studies to inform decisions.
• Support technical data package updates and variances.
• Engage with First Article Inspection processes and Raytheon Source Inspection activities.
• Utilize Raytheon hardware tools and processes.
