DEPCOM Power, Inc. is seeking a Subcontract Manager - Mechanical in Scottsdale, AZ. This discipline role covers mechanical subcontracting across our portfolio, from scope development and bid evaluation through negotiation and change management.

The position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship and reports to the Director of Subcontracts. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Field Operations Managers, Bidding & Estimating and Engineering, and lead a small team covering mechanical trade for

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical or solar installation construction with a contractor, EPC, or project engineering background.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing or change orders with contractors or suppliers.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing or evaluating scopes of work and pricing for mechanical construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate mechanical scopes of work and identify gaps before award.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids, pricing and execution capability; provide award recommendations.
• Lead commercial negotiations with mechanical subcontractors on scope, terms, pricing and change orders.
• Own and develop relationships with mechanical subcontractors as primary contact across the portfolio.
• Identify and qualify new mechanical contractors and maintain a capable partner base.
• Monitor work concentration across the mechanical partner base.
• Support Project Management on subcontract versus self-perform strategy.
• Provide market intelligence on contractor capability, capacity and pricing.
• Escalate higher-risk commercial and contractual matters to the Director of Subcontracts.
