Job summary

DEPCOM Power in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Subcontract Manager for the electrical scope. This discipline role covers electrical subcontracting across our project portfolio, from scope development and bid evaluation through negotiation and change management.

You will join DEPCOM's Subcontracts function within Supply Chain, reporting to the Director of Subcontracts, and collaborate with Project Managers, Field Operations Managers, Bidding & Estimating and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing or evaluating scopes of work and pricing for electrical construction.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing or change orders directly with contractors or suppliers.
• Experience in electrical construction gained with an electrical contractor, EPC, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate electrical scopes of work and identify gaps before award.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids, pricing and execution capability; provide award recommendations.
• Lead commercial negotiations with electrical subcontractors on scope, terms, pricing and change orders.
• Own and develop DEPCOM's relationships with electrical subcontractors; serve as primary contact across portfolio.
• Identify and qualify new electrical contractors and maintain a capable partner base.
• Monitor work concentration across the electrical partner base.
• Support Project Management on subcontract vs self-perform strategy.
• Provide market intelligence on contractor capability, capacity and pricing.
• Escalate higher-risk commercial and contractual matters to the Director of Subcontracts.
