Job summary

DEPCOM Power in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Subcontract Manager - Civil to own civil subcontracting across our portfolio, from scope development and bid evaluation through negotiation and change management. You will work with Project Managers, Field Operations, Bidding & Estimating and Engineering as part of a small team covering civil, mechanical and electrical trades.

A background in civil construction and EPC environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction with a contractor, EPC, or construction management at an EPC.
• Experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing or change orders directly with contractors or suppliers.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience developing or evaluating civil scopes of work and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate civil scopes of work and identify gaps before award.
• Evaluate bids, pricing and capability; recommend awards.
• Lead negotiations with civil subcontractors on scope, terms, pricing, changes.
• Own relationships with civil subs as primary contact.
• Identify and qualify new civil contractors and grow the base.
• Monitor work concentration across civil partners.
• Support PM on subcontract vs self-perform strategy.
• Provide market intel on contractor capability and pricing.
• Escalate high-risk commercial and contractual matters to the Director.
