Job summary

LyondellBasell's Channelview site is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to advance preventive maintenance and asset performance. You will work with process engineering, capital projects, maintenance groups, and vendors to implement best practices and improve safety and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years in rotating equipment design, installation, or maintenance within refining, petrochemical, or power generation industries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable discipline.
5+ years of relevant experience in rotating equipment design, installation, and maintenance in refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, or power generation industries.

Responsibilities

Monitor equipment performance and make improvement recommendations.
Apply data analysis techniques to develop engineering solutions for repetitive failures and other reliability issues.
Collaborate with site teams and corporate networks to implement best practices.
Provide technical support in design, installation, and modification of assets to maximize reliability and minimize life-cycle cost.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
Support risk management related to environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production.
Participate in turnaround planning and optimization activities.
Define and refine asset maintenance plans with preventive and predictive approaches.
