Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Channelview, TX. You will support reliability improvements for rotating equipment, guide preventive maintenance, and collaborate with process engineering and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, performing root cause analysis, leading investigations, and contributing to turnaround planning. A BS in ME and 5+ years in related industries are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in rotating equipment design, installation and maintenance in refinery/petrochemical/chemical process or power generation.
• Strong commitment to safety and reliability improvements in equipment installations and work processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency with SAP, Meridium and MS Office for reliability work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Apply data analysis to develop solutions for repetitive failures and downtime.
• Collaborate with site and company peers to implement best practices.
• Provide technical support during design and installation of new assets and modifications.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Participate in turnaround planning, execution and optimization.
• Define and refine asset maintenance plans with PM/CM strategies.
