Job summary

Valero Energy in Port Arthur, TX seeks a Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer to drive reliability and maintenance for rotating equipment.

You will support operations, perform root cause analyses, and develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve safety and efficiency. The role requires a BS in Engineering and 5 years of rotating equipment experience, with on-site work at the refinery and a willingness to be on-call after hours.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 5 years rotating equipment experience required.
• Able and willing to work on-site at Valero Port Arthur Refinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliability and maintenance mechanical engineering support to increase rotating equipment reliability.
• Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on rotating equipment.
• Establish and update spare parts requests and stocking levels for rotating equipment.
• Develop/implement refinery-wide PM and PdM programs.
• Support Operations on rotating equipment issues and provide direction to Maintenance as required.
• Be available to answer calls and respond outside regular hours; on-call as needed.
