IMEG is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer in Columbus, OH to lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection on select projects. You will mentor junior staff, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client goals.

This full‑time, in‑office role emphasizes safety, quality control, and staying current with industry trends as IMEG grows its energy performance and commissioning services.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 5 years in building design consulting; 6+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection on low to moderate complexity projects.
• Develop designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and build relationships.
