McKinstry is seeking a Project Engineer III - Mechanical to join our Engineering & Design team in Spokane, WA. This role emphasizes DBOM-informed design, life-cycle performance, and energy-cost optimization for high-performance buildings.

You will contribute to design, analysis, and coordination across disciplines, while advancing options for energy conservation and cost savings. Onsite construction experience is valued and LEED experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 years 2D/3D AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.
• Familiar with MATLAB, VBA, Python and structural analysis software.
• Onsite construction experience welcomed.
• MS Office Suite (Teams) knowledge required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
• Follow McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.
• Manage team workload to deliver tasks on time and in the budget.
• Provide engineering analysis to support sales and early design.
• Produce design drawings and BIM for construction.
• Coordinate with internal and external team members.
• Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
