Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer for its New Construction Mechanical division in Spokane, WA. You will join an established team and influence project design, procurement, and field execution while collaborating with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners.

You will develop work plans, track submittals, process RFIs, and assist with monthly financial reporting. A strong emphasis is placed on problem solving, hands-on field experience, and team

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in engineering, project management or construction
• OSHA 30 certification is required

Responsibilities

• Assist with the RFP and procurement process and track current and future jobs
• Coordinate equipment procurement with purchasing and outside vendors
• Schedule, develop scopes of work with subcontractors, and assist in monthly financial reporting
• Communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners
• Work with project management to answer questions from superintendents and field workers
• Create and respond to RFIs and develop equipment, materials, and submittals

Education

BA/BS in Construction Management or related field

OSHA 30 certification
