Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Inland Empire, CA is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. You will manage budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality mechanical design solutions for education projects.

You will work in a hybrid full-time setting, travel up to 10%, and support energy-efficient design aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• PE license required
• 2+ years in building design consulting; 4+ preferred
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design is essential

Responsibilities

• Lead design for HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand needs and gather requirements.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and team coordination.
• Provide in-process reviews of designs and ensure IMEG quality standards.
• Mentor less experienced staff and support education-focused work.
• Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phases.
