IMEG Corp. seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer in the Detroit area to lead HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design on mid-to-large projects. You will mentor staff, manage budgets and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet client goals.

The role blends technical leadership with project management, emphasizing high-performance, energy-efficient building systems and collaboration with engineers, consultants, and clients in an ESOP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 7 years minimum experience, 14 preferred in building design consulting.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection on moderate to complex projects.
• Develop designs, calculations, and reports per codes and standards.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers and staff to meet project goals.
• Mentor staff, support budgets, and review design work for quality control.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
