Job summary

IMEG Corporation is hiring a Mechanical Project Engineer for Inland Empire, CA. You will lead design efforts, manage budgets, mentor staff, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver energy-efficient mechanical solutions for education projects.

You will work with senior staff on larger projects and support education-focused initiatives, while advancing high-performance design aligned with IMEG standards in a hybrid full-time role.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• PE license required.
• 2 years minimum experience in building design consulting; 4+ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design with specs and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Collaborate with clients to define requirements and build professional relationships.
• Support project execution as part of a design team and manage budgets/schedules.
• Lead planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress and fee expenditures.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to BIM and QC processes.
