Job summary

IMEG in Inland Empire is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design for education-sector projects. You will manage project scope, budgets, and schedules, mentoring staff and collaborating with specialists to deliver compliant, high-performance solutions.

You will apply BIM and advanced engineering analysis to support safe, energy-efficient building systems, while aligning with IMEG standards and client objectives across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• PE licensure is required.
• 2+ years of building design consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and project managers.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and percent complete.
• Mentor less experienced staff and ensure QA/QC.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Oversee bidding and construction administration phases.
