Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to own the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects, taking responsibility from concept through installation and mentoring junior engineers.

You will lead subsystem layouts, select conveyor types and third‑party equipment, coordinate with electrical and controls teams, deliver 3D models, clash detection, and installation packages for construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with CAD software and MHE.
• Ability to communicate clearly with leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer drawings and specifications into fully functional conveyor systems.
• Produce complete 2D customer approval and installation layout drawings.
• Lead installation support and commissioning activities for projects.
• Review calculations and approve engineering deliverables.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on technical approaches.
