Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead the design, build, and continuous improvement of our global order fulfillment infrastructure. You will manage cross-functional projects across large-scale automation, including sortation, conveyors, and robotic work cells, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and safety targets.

Ideal candidates have proven engineering experience in integrated automation project life cycles, with prior large capital projects and a track record

Qualifications

• Proven engineering experience in integrated automation project life cycle.
• Experience managing large capital automation projects with spend under $5MM.
• Willingness to travel 75% regionally.
• Ability to relocate within commuting distance to a corporate office.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve order fulfillment infrastructure across the large-scale supply chain network.
• Manage medium-scale automation projects including high-speed sortation, conveyors, and robotic work cells.
• Oversee on-site vendor relationships and escalation processes.
• Develop budgets, contracts, and program documentation including RFPs and PO issuance.
• Lead system commissioning and predefined testing activities.
• Coordinate with site management to ensure operator training and safety practices.
• Document changes and drive process improvements across sites.
