Job summary

Amazon seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to own the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects, from concept through installation, delivering complete subsystems with minimal supervision.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with electrical, controls, and structural teams to ensure integrated designs, manage schedules, installations, and field issues, and produce installation packages for construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities

• Translate customer drawings to functional conveyor systems.
• Lead design and execution of subsystems with minimal oversight.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work.
• Coordinate with electrical, controls and structural teams.
• Prepare installation packages for construction use.
