Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to own and execute the mechanical design of automated fulfillment center projects in the US. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and deliver complete installation packages.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling, clash detection, and ensuring safety and performance standards across project phases. Nashville and other locations feature competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in design/innovation, manufacturing or related fields.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and CAD software.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute mechanical design of automated fulfillment projects.
• Lead sub-system layouts, specify equipment, and coordinate with electrical/controls.
• Develop 3D models, perform clash detection, and deliver installation packages.
• Mentor junior engineers and review work for quality and timeliness.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and performance standards are met.
