Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Mechanical Professional Engineer II to independently apply advanced engineering techniques and design HVAC, hydronic, and thermal systems for energy and infrastructure projects on hospital and college campuses.

The role leads portions of projects, ensures code-compliant, constructible designs, supports permitting, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver energy-efficient, reliable systems within ENFRA's design-build model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.
• 7+ years of design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and design practices.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Signing and sealing engineering documents.
• Design and analysis of mechanical systems for projects of moderate complexity.
• Developing deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specs.
• Improving existing systems and developing new solutions.
• Preparing system configurations and control schemes for energy savings.
• Field investigations and site visits; coordinate 3D laser scanning.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and support construction-phase activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; interface with clients on technical matters.
