Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in the United States. You will join a team of experienced professionals and contribute to project estimates, strategy, and client relationships.

The role involves developing estimate plans, coordinating with project teams, and maintaining local rate libraries, with strong focus on risk analysis and cost containment. A degree in construction and 5+ years' estimating experience are required; proficiency with major estimating tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in construction.
• Experience with Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• A degree in a construction-related discipline.
• RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or on track to complete.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Help the development of the total project estimate.
• Help prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Help the development of the total project estimate

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 5 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it.
