Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in Boston, MA to lead the estimate plan, coordinate estimate development with the project team, and help prepare the overall Project Basis of Estimate and risk analysis. A degree in a construction discipline and 5+ years of estimating experience are preferred, with familiarity in Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.

Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, be detail oriented, and excel at building relationships with the team and clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an estimator in a construction environment.
• Experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or on path to complete it; support available.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and quality focused.
• Thrives on building strong relationships with team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Help the development of the total project estimate.
• Help prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
