Job summary

Linesight in Dallas is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead cost planning and project budgeting for complex mechanical installations. You will develop estimates, coordinate with the project team, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires 10+ years in mechanical estimating, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and a construction discipline degree. Competitive salary ranges from $108k to $145k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as Mechanical Estimator in construction.
• Experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or on path to complete it.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

Senior Mechanical Estimator

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate

• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are detail oriented and quality focused
• Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun

The salary range for this role is between $108,000 and $145,000 but actual salary offered is dependent on skill set, education and experience.
